    • Match Report - The Dunes

      This is the second year playing a game on the Mornington Peninsula. The return to The Dunes Golf Links and the very good attendance of 88 players at today’s game made for a very successful day. The morning was cool but fine and ideal golf conditions. The introduction this year of compulsory carts at The Dunes for all players proved popular as there would otherwise be long walks to some of the "shot gun" tees.       The Dunes is one of very few links style courses in Australia. All the holes are played through and over rolling sand dunes on what is known as the "Cups Country" of the Mornington Peninsula. The Dunes is one of Australia’s premier public access courses. The Golf Course Guide, Australia’s golfing directory to public access courses, has rated The Dunes as the number one public access course in Victoria, and as high as number four in the country.

      Today, 57 golf balls were presented to players who had 30 or more points.
