    • Spring Valley Match Report - 10 September 2018

    • 117 players attended today at Spring Valley Golf Club for the 4BBB Stableford event. Players were fortunate to experience overcast followed by fine sunny conditions with the course presented in excellent condition with smooth fast greens.       Thank you to all who supported our raffle today in memory of Jarrod Lyle, with a very pleasing total of $1700 raised. All proceeds will go to Challenge, supporting kids and families living with cancer as well as the Lyle family. Please go to our website and MDVGA News for further details.

      President John Anstey conducted the MDVGA Annual General Meeting and introduced the 2018/19 Committee Members and noted member John Baxter from Spring Valley joining Committee this year. Also, appreciation was expressed to Stewart Ley, our retiring Secretary who has served 11 years in the position and a member of the Association for 14 years, and to John Folan who stepped down from Committee this year.
      New Life and Honorary Members
      The Committee is pleased to recognise the following members who have rendered long and outstanding service to the Association.

      Paul has served 13 years overall on Committee and as President from 2003 to 2012.
      Paul is also VVGA Zone Councillor representing Melbourne and three other districts, and is currently a member of Settlers Run Golf Club and Vets Liaison Officer for that Club

      This year the Committee is pleased to grant honorary memberships to Malcolm Algie who served as a committee member for 3 years and club Liaison Officer for Beacon Hills and Cranbourne, and Bobby Smith who served as Liaison Officer for Box Hill for 11 years.
