The Rules of Association
The Melbourne District Veteran Golfers Association Inc. Reg A0028046L is an Incorporated Association with Consumer Affairs Victoria under the Associations Incorporation Reform Act 2012.
The Special Resolution adopting the Model Rules of the Associations Incorporation Reform Act 2012 with amendments as set out in the Schedule attached to the Explanatory Statement passed at our AGM 26 September 2016 has been accepted by Consumer Affairs Victoria.
The Special Resolution to delete Rule 71(3) was approved at AGM 25/9/2017 and accepted by Consumer Affairs 3/10/2017.
Further amendments to Rules 8, 12, 14(e), 17 & 54(10) were approved at AGM 23/9/2019 and accepted by Consumer Affairs 1/10/2019

- Definition of “Home Club” The Home Club is the Club where a Member is a Financial Playing Member of that Club.
- Definition of “Host Club” The Host Club is the Club where the golf event is being played.
- Definition of “Local Member” A “Local Member” is a financial playing member of the Host Club – this definition does not extend to cover any reciprocal arrangements held by members of other Golf Clubs in respect to the Host Club.
- Transitional Membership – A member can remain a member during such period where their membership at a Home Club has not been renewed and while waiting on membership of a new Home Club to be processed – such period should not normally exceed three months and the member cannot play in any event if Golf Link membership details are unavailable.
