Vale Life Member Keith Kendall – 16/3/1929 – 21/4/2024

It is with sadness that we advise of the passing of a distinguished Honorary Member, Keith Kendall.

Keith joined our District in 1985 as a member of Commonwealth and then Rosanna.

He was a member of Committee for 20 years from 1994 – 2013 and served as our Captain from 1997 to 2011.

He was instrumental in the establishing inter district events, notably the Dalhousie Event which was played at Kilmore for many years.

Keith was elected a Life Member of Melbourne Vets in 2012

Keith played cricket for South Melbourne (being Captain for a period) and 17 games for Victoria (26 Innings 668 runs including 1 ton and 3 50’s with an average of 27.83) While playing for Prahan he faced Keith Miller who got him out. As he was leaving Keith reputably said, “Don’t worry Keith, that ball would have got Bradman”
